When existing port facilities don’t have the capacity to handle oversize shipments, ASO Marine work closely with logistic managers and freight forwarders to determine the best delivery method. Projects to date include transhipment from heavy lift vessels to barge to site via SPMT / multi wheel trailer roll off. Recent projects include:
- WICET coal terminal in Gladstone
- Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) block sea transportation from Newcastle and Melbourne to Adelaide
- Delivery of coal stacker reclaimer machines to NCIG, Newcastle
- Condensers from Coffs Harbour to the oil & gas industry in Sydney, Brisbane & North West shelf WA
- Delivery of iron ore stacker reclaimer and car dumper into Cape Lambert, WA
